Does Elevated Chromium Levels Cause Heart Attack?

My name is Lisa and I'm 48, 5'10 and 200lbs. I had a total hip replacement in 2007 and it failed. It was the Depuy Johnson and Johnson ASR, which was recalled. Before it was recalled I had to have a revision surgery which I did in 2008. Now I'm being told the replacement part that was used managed to skip the FDA approval with a "loop hole" and could possibly be recalled. I'm in moderate pain but I just keep thinking this is how a replaced hip feels. I will be getting an MRI to check on things soon. Anyway, in 2010 I went to the hospital and was told I suffered a mild heart attack. This was determined by two things: 1) I have elevated Tropnin Levels and 2) all the symptoms chest pain, it was hard to breath, I was numbing.and I had a headache. COULD there be any corilation between my elevated Chromium level and this heart issue?

Yes definitely. Elevated cholesterol is an important risk factor for attack and though not only reason, it would be definite contributor. How bad is your cholesterol. Are you on statins?
