Does Elevated RBC Level In Urine Of A Pregnant Woman Mean Infection?

Hi, I am 22 weeks pregnant at the moment. My GP found high presence of red blood cells in my urine it was around 30 . I had two test both came with high red blood cell count.. GP doesn t think that I have an infection because the white blood cell count was normal. I am bit concerned with this could someone please explain this situation. thanks DP

Hi thanks for asking question.

You have to consult gynecologist for more detailed consultation.

Here your per speculum examination done.
If any tear or injured area present in urethral tract then RBC might appear in urine without pus cells.
So they need to be treated if present.

Do you have any stone??If yes then it can lead RBC in urine...USG helpful for it.

If you have nephritis then also RBC appear in urine.So if present it is investigated and treated accordingly.

If still cause not clear then any mass in urinary tract also can lead RBC in urine.So it has to searched if needed.
