Does Dehydration Cause Nausea?

I was mowing my lawn today and it was hot and I was sweating. I finished came up to my house...took a shower and was fine but tired. I then ate some watermelon and shortly after got very sick with nausea and vomiting. I vomited for several hours and tried my best to get liquids down but couldn t. The nause was too much and it seems there was a lot of acidity in my stomach. This started about 11:30 am and it is now 10:45pm and I am feeling better but still nauseous. Was this dehydration? I just now want to got o sleep and forget this ever happened!
