Does Consuming Alcohol While On Ornidazole And Ofloxacin Cause Adverse Side Effects?

I was prescribed o2 (ornidazole and ofloxacin) tablets by my doctor. I wasnt aware that alcohol should be avoided. I drank last night; while drinking it felt like everything will come out. So i took an omez 40 as i thought i was suffering from acidity and 2 tabs of gluten digest before having dinner. After having dinner, i wasn t feeling well and felt like i should vomit. So i went ahead and forced puked, after that i felt a little better. So today morning while searching the internet, i came across topics here saying that taking alcohol with ornidazole can cause disulfiram like effect which can be fatal. So, should i be worried now? , i feel good but this thing has scared me. Should i go to the doctor immediately or wait until my scheduled appointment.

I have gone through your query with diligence. Ornidazole can cause disulfiram reaction. So alcohol intake should be avoided. If you have taken more alcohol or feeling unpleasant then better to approach ER. Supportive measures in ER will be enough to get you back to normal state.
