Does Constipation, Diarrhea And Nausea Indicate Celiac Disease?
I have recently suffered from severe bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, nausea and quite a few more symptom s. After speaking to my pharmacist he said I was presenting with symptoms of celiac disease and should be tested. After doing some research of my own I thought I would try a gluten free diet for a week or 2 before I seek medical advice ans see if this makes a difference. Would you recommend I do this or should I be tested now. Thank you, Kylie
Dear- bloating could be from gluten sensitivity, lactose intolerance, irritable bowel disease , just mentioning some of the medical conditions. The changes in bowel movement from diarrhea and constipation goes in favor of irritable bowel syndrome . I would suggest to have a gluten free diet for 2-3 weeks and see how your body reacts to it . If no changes, then get medical evaluation and possible colonoscopy to have more tools for the diagnose. I hope my advise was helpful. DrSara
