Does Constant Use Of Drugs Lead To Impotency?

my best friend is a man and my roommate. we r totally platonic. he has used heroine since he was 17 but doesn't any longer but rather goes to a Methadone clinic for 6 months now, he loves pain pills, colonzopene, somas, xanax. i kno the whole Al Anon drill. i don't try to stop him but i never realized that his constant use possibly keeps him in a state of impotency. he is 36 and loves being high. I only need answers of his use as it relates to his inability to obtain an erection. we have discussed his 100% lack of interest in sex.

Hello
The problem is likely low testosterone levels which are often seen with chronic drug abusers.

He needs to see a doctor for an exam and tests and if that's the problem, testosterone supplementation should correct his problem
