Does Cocaine Addiction Affect Baby In The Womb?
hi i have a pregnant friend she is 23 weeks and her boyfriend does cocaine every now and then..she wanted to have sex but he told her no cause the sperm when he does it affects the unborn baby...i was told so untrue and she is too embarassed to ask...is this true or not

hello user , if your friend is pregnant already - she would not have any harm to baby by having sex with an cocaine addict in terms of damage to the baby by his sperms - although as some addicts are supposed to indulge in iv drug use and high risk sexual activities so it is better to use protection like condoms anyways .

Studies have shown that cocaine using persons semen does contain cocaine particularly just after using it.But the concentration is less compared to blood.It can be transmitted to sexual partners body through semen and can get absorbed.But the concentration is less.However it has not been studied whether it causes any defects in unborn child.
Cocaine use is injurious to health.I would suggest your friend to seek help to quite cocaine use.
