Does Cannabis Show Up On Blood Test?

I have a blood test, probably tomorrow, which i have every month because i take the acne mediciane dapsone. However, i forgot about the bloodtest and have smoked cannabis everyday this week. Is it going to show up on the test and if it does can the lab/doctor tell my parents?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Trace levels of delta-9-THC, the primary psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, may be identifiable in the blood of heavy cannabis users for up to seven days after their drug use has ceased, according to clinical trial data.

This test is used to know if there has been recent use of marijuana or cannabis in an individual. The test can give positive findings when cannabis is taken in the past 48 hours. However, recently the test has been seen to be positive even up to after a week of ingestion in heavy cannabis users.

It depends on your age, if you are a minor or the test was done with your parents permission then they might be informed.
