Does Blurry Vision Post Multifocal Lens Insertion Suggest Wrong Lens?

I have progressive optic nerve atrophy and am short sighted. Recently I had cataract surgery and had new multfocal lenses inserted. Now my vision is blurred close, medium and far. Before surgery I had sharp close and medium vision. Do I have the wrong lenses?
