Does Blackish Red Urine Inside Catheter Pouch Indicate Infection?

My father(73) a COPD patient suffering Type 2 respiratory failure, he's bed ridden for last 20 days, so we had to put catheter. But for last 2 days we have observed blakish red urine being stored continuously inside catheter pouch. Is it any kind of infection?
If yes, then was should be done?
