yes my name is Todd, im 75 yrs old and have rhumatoid arth., i am on 15mg oxycodone for pain also take 800 mg ibuprophen every 6 to 10 hours but doesnt do much good , the last few weeks i have been having an extreme amount of joint and muscle pain, i have had copd, and other lung probs and take breathing treatments and am very active, but i find it harder and harder to function, i need some releif and just found that i had a bad leak in my roof and now i found black mold in the insulation in the attic , could this be the cause of my new problems ? help please

Dear yes if it is toxic black mold can also cause soreness of the muscles and joints. Like other molds, toxic black mold is allergenic. The spores from toxic black mold cause allergic reactions such as breathing problems, sore eyes, runny nose, itchiness, sneezing and a sore throat.


You can apply heat or ice, or alternate the two, to painful joints and that may provide some relief. Over-the-counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) like ibuprofen might also help. If pain is severe or continues despite home remedies, see your doctor.
