General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Although birth control pills do not cause blood clots, most birth control pills do increase a woman's chance of developing a blood clot by about three to four times.
I suggest to see an ENT specialist for further evaluation.
An endoscopy should be done to check for the throat.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
