Does Belching Upset The Physiology Of The Lesser Curvature?

my boss drinks aa fair amount 2 liters of club soda, the after afffect isthat he belches and belches quite loud. I was taught in Anatomy class that belching is caused by excessive air in the stomach possibly upsetting the physiology of the lesser curvature.....Is this true??? Possivble

Obviously, the physiology of lesser curvature is disturbed via the effect of club soda over the acid and mucin-secreting cells of the stomach.
