i am a few stone overweight and have had the mirena coil fitted for around a year after my 2nd miscarriage i now feel that i want the coil removed and get pregnant again but my friend advised me that the doctor can refuse to remove the coil because i am overweight and being overweight could affect my pregnancy. Is this true? can doctors really refuse to remove the coil ?
Hello Welcome to Health Care Magic. No, it is not true. there is no relation between you are overweight and doctor do not want to remove coil. it's just you want to remove so doctor has to remove and its your choice to get pregnant. no one can predict complications just on the basis of you are overweight. Hope this information helps you. Best wishes.
