Does autoimmune disorder affect more than one gland ?

hi iam medical student at 4th year my mom one year ago diagnosed as hyperthyrodism and one month later also with addison s and it take s her medicine at times and now her physician said it may have diabetes iwonder pls help me to know what is going on all the books said it can happen in autoimmune paitent
