The role of aspirin in heart disease is this. It is not used in heart failure. It is used to help keep the blood thin and works in men (not women) to significantly reduce heart attacks - that is blockage of vessels that supply the heart itself with a blood supply. It is cheap and effective when used correctly lifesaving.
