The role of aspirin in heart disease is this. It is not used in heart failure. It is used to help keep the blood thin and works in men (not women) to significantly reduce heart attacks - that is blockage of vessels that supply the heart itself with a blood supply. It is cheap and effective when used correctly lifesaving.

I just saw that I have to pay for this. Believe me, if i could do do, I would, but i just don t have the wherewithal. There is no way I can pay the $15, or anything. I guess I will wait, and just go to the emergency room Thanks

My husband just had a heart attack at the end of July 2015. He was also diagnosed with chronic heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. He is on a regimen of medication- losartan, brilinta for his stents, lipitor, mononitrate, low dose aspirin, potassium, lasix. He has a constant cough. Vicks and camphor seem to help. But can you recommend anything else to reduce cough?
