Does Applying Vicks Cure The Boil?
Will applying Vicks Vapor on a boil help speed along the process? The boil is located on panty line and can be very painful. I applied Vicks and covered with a bandage. It seems to help with the pain, but will it help it to drain and pop and faster.?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The answer is no. It will not help with boil tretament. It may reduce pain due to superficial effect on skin ,but it will not help for boil to be drained or cured. The only possible cure is surgical incision and drainage or antibiotic therapy in initial cases. So you should not waste your time on Vapor or similar products since ice pack would have same effect on pain. If you want, you can apply some mild steroid cream such as Betrion but it will not be curative as well.
