Does anyone use one of those home BP monitors (the digital ones)? My BP has been between 90 to 97/80 for a couple of times now and wonder if these machines are reliable. Also, do you think this is too low?
I have one for keeping a track of my BP as I suffer from hypertension and the doctors like me to keep a record of it at home.
They are pretty reliable, but the best way of checking your particular one is take it into the doctors with you, and after they have checked your BP, check it with your own device, you'll then see how close your reading is to that of the doctors, and be able to adjust your readings accordingly.
Hope this helps.

Merry Christmas!! I am a 76-year old female and my blood pressure reading is 104 over 58. I have a blood pressure monitor at home, which I have used three times in the last 20 minutes, showing readings of 104 over 58, 102 over 57 and 104 over 58. I feel terrific, am not overweight or tired, have plenty of energy, so why are my readings so low, please? Should I be concerned?
I started a different blood pressure med a month ago. I ve been feeling a little light headed sometimes. today I took my blood pressure at home with a cuff monitor and it s 115/76 with a pulse of 93 and a second time it s 113/71 with a pulse of 96. that is a much lower BP than I ve experience with the other two meds I ve used before and I ve never had a pulse rate like that just sitting. I did just eat a bit of lunch and I had a hard workout this morning. wondering if that pulse is high enough that I should go to the clinic and get checked out.
