Does Alcohol Intake Elevate Blood Sugar Levels?

afternoon 3.30pm i taken an alcohal & next day i went medicale check up there doctors supecting that I am a sugar patient.But doctor doest know I was taken alocohal last day.Myself also forgotten.Can u tell me alcohal taken very next day wht is the affect of sugars in urine

Dear sir i can understand your concern
Yes alcohol is having lot of calories and there is a slight chance that it might affect your sugars.
But since you are are not a known case of diabetes i suggest you to go for test like Hba1c% which will not show much variation
Hba1c% more than 6.5% is considered as diabetes and it will not be effected by alcohol taken one or two days before.
And urine sugar is not at all a criteria for diagnosis diabetes because there are many substance in urine which will mimic as sugar during testing.
