Does A Needle Inserted Inside Hip Be Seen In X-ray?
I am having horrible hip pain. Had xray and the tech said that I had a sewing needle in my hip area. She then said it is probably an artifact and redid the xray. The needle did not show up. I do remember sewing around the time the hip pain started and there was a bright red bruise in the area of the pain. The pain is in my groin area and is better sitting. I can barely walk without pain and several times throughout the day, certain way I move my leg, the pain is so severe that I am afraid of falliing.Pain is simislar to nerve pain in teeth and electric shock pain.I have been on naproxyn and skelaxin and then lodine for pain. My doc then gave me 2 separate medrol packs. Nothing is touching the pain. Does it make sense that I would have a needle in my hip area and would an artifact show up as a needle. The tech was specific in saying a sewing needle.
welcome to Health care magic. 1.Artifact can be once, and yo said it was redid ins it was not seen. So there is no needle in side. 2.Yes if needle is there it is seen, and seen in every time you get your x-ray done. 3.And with a needle inside your symptoms will not be like this what you are explaining. 4.Continue the treatment as indicated, if not resolved get further investigated by CT.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
