Does A Local Anesthetic Remain For A Day In The Body?
Hello I was at dentist yesterday for a root canal. My mouth was injected with anesthesia it was more than normal because I kept feeling pain when the doctor was working will that affect me in a drug test I have tomorrow ? Should I go back to the dentist and get paperwork showing I was using local anesthesia.
As per your complain local anesthetic agents generally get excreted from the body in less than 24 hours while certain body conditions can alter the time but as it will be almost 72 hours when you would be having your drug test. So in my suggestion it will not effect your drug test and it will be fine if taken in terms of local anesthesia.
To be on safer side you can get a certificate from your dentist to prevent any chance of failure in drug test due to local anesthesia, however chances are negligible.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
