Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood the concern. Home pregnancy tests read well when performed with a fresh early morning sample 3-7 days after the missed period. If you did not do so, you could have missed detecting a pregnancy and this bleeding could be an abortion. The other possibility is a delayed period which can be caused due to a transient hormone disturbance. In the current scenario, clarification can be had only through a clinical examination done by a specialist. If you need pregnancy to be excluded, you can ask for the blood test. Hope this helps.
