Does A CPAP Machine Harm The Eyes After A Laser Surgery?

I had cataract surgery in both eyes, last one was in August of this year. I now have a haze & eye prescription has changed. I will be getting laser surgery to remove the haze. Can a CPAP machine that blows air on my eye at night have any relation to this eye problem?

Hello!

Thank you for trusting HCM!

Sleep apnea machine may cause blowing of air into ocular surface because of dryness of cornea and conjunctiva; leading to infections. So it is important to cover eyes if you're on CPAP.

Apply long lasting dryness preventing gels, which will prevent dryness. Cataract surgery may be aggravating factor for eye dryness. Please consult your ophthalmologist. He will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care
