Hi,

Zerodol P (paracetamol and aceclofenac) is commonly prescribed for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Generally it is well tolerated by most of our patients however it may cause heart burn, upper abdominal pain, nausea, or inflammation of the stomach. The antacid Famtac has been prescribed to counter the side effects as mentioned above. Let him continue to take it as prescribed.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
