Does Wysolone Interact With Rantac?

Hi, I am Gautam and I am suffering from Lichen Planus since past 20 years, most probably it reoccurs every 4-5 years. My doctor has prescribed me Wysolone 20mg (steroids). now I am having acidity problem and could I take Rantac 150? is there any side effect with Wysoione? Thanks in advance for your advise.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. There is no harmful interaction between the two prescribed medication for Lichen planus.

Since Wysolone is known to cause a number of side effects including acidity related stomach issues like gastritis or peptic ulcer which can be minimized by taking H2 receptor antagonists like Rantac (Ranitidine) tablets twice daily.

There is no side effect if it is taken along with Wysolone. But remember the steroids like Wysolone should be taken only for the short interval to avoid the systemic side effects like high BP, high blood glucose level, increased risk of infections, delayed wound healing, weight gain, etc.
