Does Warfarin Cause Bruises On The Body?

MY HUSBAND IS ON WARFARIN. HE IS BRUISING EVERY DAY. IT IS NOW EVERYWHERE!!!, EVEN ON HIS STOMACHE. HE IS ALSO FALLING ALL THE TIME. HE IS ON OXYGEN. HE HAS HAS PNEUMONIA?? 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 YEARS. HE WILL NOT LISTEN TO ME. HE IS 63 YRS. OLD , AS HE INFORMS ME EVERYDAY! WHAT CAN I SAY TO GET HIM TO LISTEN TO ME? WHAT IS CAUSING ALL THE SEVERE BRUISING, JUST THE WRONG DOSE? ANY SUGGESTIONS/\? THANKS

Warfarin blood thinner isn't the main drug used for clots anymore. This is because it has to be closely regulated and both too little and too much are quite dangerous. Many things change it's effectiveness. Too much makes bleeding a big risk the bleeding shows up as bruising. Bleeding into the brain can cause changes in thinking. Bruising is often from too much blood thinner and the bruising means blood is going into the skin and out of the vessels and this leads to anemia which is dangerous.
