Does UTI affect pregnancy?

Hi I am J.P. Singh from Delhi. My son age 27 juast maried on 7 th March,2011 and went for Honeymoon to Manali. After return on 17 th march, my doughter in low complained seveior headac and fever and the doctor attending her confirm UTI ater urine culture. Kindly advise us future procutions and also tel us whetyher there will be any problem for pregency.

This condition is curable and that does not cause any problem for pregnancy. Primary guidelines at present
- Allow her to drink more liquids.
- Continue antibiotic course as per the advise of her family doctor.
- Tell your son to keep abstinence from vaginal sex at present.
