Does Timolol Affect The Libido And Make Viagra Ineffective?

I take 50mg of zoloft per day at night, winter blues. In addition I take one drop per eye in the morning of timolol in the morning for ocular hypertension for several years. I was told that timolol effects the sex drive, and viagra would not be effective.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my clinical experience, the long-term use of Timolol drops can give beta blocker effects over the body with low pulse rate, low BP and others, but not libido effect and making Viagra ineffective.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
