Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi doc i have been taking telma h 40mg +12.5mg and Asomex 5mg for my blood pressure. I have been taking telma h since february and asomex was incorporated in April. I have recently started feeling pins and needles in my feet and hands......what is causing this?
Hi & Welcome. I can understand your concern regarding the safety of the prescribed medications.
Telma-H (Telmisartan+Hydrochlorthiazide) and Asomex (Amlodipine) are the medications used to lower the high BP. The symptoms of 'pins & needles' in your feet and hands could be due to low BP resulting in reduced blood supply to feet and hands. I advise you to consult your treating physician to adjust the dose of the prescribed medications in particularly Asomex which may have to be either reduced or discontinued.
Hope this answers your query.
