Does Synthroid Affect The Thyroid Gland?

I read years ago that a change in manufacturer of Synthroid medication can affect my thyroid. I’m experiencing that now, I think. What can you tell me about this. Also, can hit, humid weather slow my condition? I have hypothyroidism that was fine until hot, humid weather and a change in pharmacies.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you're suffering from hypothyroidism then take Synthroid. Taking it normal thyroid patients may cause drug induced hyperthyroidism. What happened if you exposure to humid weather, it is common sweating or rash after exposure. You just check once again for TSH, t3,t4 levels. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
