Does Sevista Cause Delayed Periods?

Hi, I consulted doctor for excess bleeding and pain during periods. So doctor prescribed Sevista 60 mg tablet for me as a two days a week dosage , Wednesday and Sunday .But now problem is I am not getting my periods even after 38 days from last period start date .The pregnant test result is also negative but we were sexually active . I have read in reviews that sevista will cause delay in periods but delay up to 38 days is normal ?? Please clarify !!!

Hello,

Sevista causes a delay in the periods and you may not have periods for 8-10 weeks initially. After that the periods will gradually be regular. But you need to rule out a pregnancy after a urine test.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Rakhi Tayal, OBGYN
