Does Ropinirole Have Any Dangerous Side Effect?

My husband suffered a fall with a brain bleed back in July. He was taken off the generic Plavix to stop any recurrence of bleeding. Fine. He had been suffering major leg cramps and nightmares causing him to take flights from bed, those mostly stopped. On July 31 his GP suggested he begin taking 1/2 of a 1mg. tablet of Ropinirole to help with the rest of the leg spasms. It helped him to sleep peacefully, but was very difficult to wake him in the morning so I cut him down to 1/4 of 1 mg. We had been doing well until last night when he had two sets of mild tremors. He had been complaining of low back pain. I thought he may have over worked his back on some stairs so I asked him to lay flat on his back and pull him belly button to the mattress for counts of five, relax for five X3, then slowly pull his fet up the mattress to place his bent knees on either side of his torso and hold for a count of 30. We have done this once or twice before. It worked both times and he went peacefully back to sleep. He does have some fused work in his back from his teens. He recently had his followup CT on his head and the hematoma was gone, but there we know there is still recovery time ahead. I had decided to talk with him about going back on the 1/2 of 1mg. Ropinirole tonight to see if that would help. OK. He went into the long awaited Sleep Lab appointment today. After talking with the doctor it was decided he should stop the Ropinirole(still talking the 1.4 of 1mg) and start Melatonin. Going off the Clopidogrel and then starting the Ropinirole are the only things that have allowed me some much needed sleep also. This is only portions of his history, but I am asking since this set up has been working. Is there something dangerous about the Ropinirole that isn t in the warnings ?
