Does Pure Turmeric Curcumin With Bioperine From Fresh Healthcare Have A Substitute?

I believe in Turmeric, bought Pure Turmeric curcumin with Bioperine, 1200 mg from Fresh Healthcare thru Amazon. The product does not bother me, but my wife says it tears up her stomach. Is there an alternative? Ex smaller doses, or from another company, or without the Bioperine?

Hello,

There are many companies that sell curcumin - I'm listing one below, but there are others as well.

It may be that your wife's stomach is more sensitive to it than yours is. Curcumin can cause stomach irritation in some.

She is not alone in this reaction (see here: https://www.consumerlab.com/answers/is-turmeric-a-stomach-irritant/curcumin_stomach_upset/).

Since we don't know if the problem your wife is experiencing is the curcumin itself, the Bioperine, the combination, or the dose, if she wants to try, I'd recommend starting with a curcuminoid-only supplement (here is one and there are other brands available too: https://www.puritan.com/puritans-pride-brand-0102/tumeric-curcumin-450-mg-015419?source=igodigital).

Open up the capsule and put just 1/4 of the capsule on food just one time the first day. If that works out ok, slowly increase the amount over subsequent days, always mixing it in with food.

Some people just can't tolerate curcumin in supplement form, but may still be able to tolerate it in a more natural way, such as by eating food cooked with turmeric.

You aren't getting as much curcumin that way, but it may be more tolerable to do it this way.

The other spices in Indian curries, for example, may help the curcumin in the turmeric to be assimilated without digestive problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
