Does Propranolol Affect Pregnancy Test Results?

I am on cycle day 41 I was 5 days late last month and my period was weird only when I wiped nothing on the pad the whole 5 days. I have PCOS and have been regular for the last 3 years ( every 28 days) I ve taken 2 regnancy tests both negative. I am wondering if spirnolact and propranolol can cause a test to be negative. Both test were done mid to late afternoon

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pregnancy tests can detect HCG by day 11 to 14 of pregnancy. If the tests were done in this time period then they are accurate.

If they were done prior to this time then you need to consider repeating them at a later date.

The medications should not cause a false negative result.

If the test is truly negative then the delay is likely related to the PCOS.

I hope this helps
