Does Pioz MF - 15 Cause Weight Gain?

I am taking Pioz MF 15 since last five years. I feel that after taking this tablet I have started gaining weight even taking small quantity of food ( No rise, No potato, Only vegitables and wheet roti). Sugar level is under control. I am also having thyroid problem and taking Thyrox 50 after consultation with Dr. Kindly clarify weight gain is because of Pioz MF 15 and if yes then what is alternate madicine.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Pioz mf can be associated with weight gain in some persons.

If your diet is currently healthy and not in need of modification then an alternative medication should be considered.

An alternative would be metformin. This is weight neutral or can cause weight loss.

Other medications that would not be associated with weight gain are: exenatide, liraglutide, lixisenatide, abiglutide, sitaglipin, vildaglipin, saxaglipin

I hope this helps
