General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is a medication used to treat pain and fever. It is typically used for mild to moderate pain relief.

Side effects noted with its intake include nausea, vomiting, allergic skin reaction, gastric ulcer, mouth ulcer, and fatigue.

The connection between the use of paracetamol with semen quality and male infertility is unclear.

It is seen in previous studies that paracetamol, when used at high doses, appears to change semen quality, particularly sperm morphology. It may not alter to such a great extent when taken in usual doses.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
