Does Metronidazole Interact With Doxycycline?

I was prescribed metronidazole 400mg tablets and have almost finished the course(I have one tablet left) and was just prescribed Doxycycline 100mg capsules. Will it be okay to take both my last tablet of Metronidazole and my first tablet of Doxycycline tomorrow or will they cancel each other out/ cause any issues?

Hi,

I understand your concern.

So far, no interaction has been reported when metronidazole is using together with doxycyline. So, you can take them both together tomorrow.

However, you should be alert and observe any unusual symptom you might develop when using them and report immediately to your doctor.

Wish fast recovery.
