Does Metoprolol Cause Light Headedness And Dizziness?

I have been having intermittent bouts of lightheadedness and dizziness for the past while. I have been on Metoprolol 25 mgm. since January after an ablation for arrhythmia that ensued after my valve repair last August.
Should I stop the drug to see if things get better. How long will it take to clear from my system?

Hi,
There may be another cause for your lightheadedness and dizziness. I suggest you do not stop the Metoprolol. You should see your doctor as you may be anemic.
Regards,
Dr K A Pottinger
