Does Methadone Cause Low Libido In Men?
Hello: I ve been on methadone for a good 8 to 10 tears now. The narcotic was prescribed for me by my pain specialist to aid my chronic low back pain. However my wife and I haven t had sex for that same period of time as well and I m wondering if the methadone may have something to do with my lack of sex drive. I used to have the urge a lot but haven t had the urge for this length of time now. Appreciate your response.

Yes, methadone can cause erectile dysfunction, lowrred libido and lack and cause sexual dysfunction even. You are quite right in this assumption. But I wonder why you waited this long to ask this question. Raising this question esrlier could have added a little more colour to the last 8-10 years of your life.
