Hi, My son is 4.5 year-old, he had flu-like symptoms and slight cough and wheezing for the past few days. he has been prescribed Lorinase syrup 3 ml twice a day. Is the dosage right? Since I read on the medicine leaflet that it should be 2.5 ml twice a day for children aged between 3-6 years. I am worried. pls help? Thanks

Pediatrician 's  Response
Thanks for the query.
Yes it can be used for allergic rhinitis flu like symptoms , cold.
But for cough and wheezing you will have to give syp. salbutamol or terbutaline .

Also discuss about antibiotics if there is fever and associated infection.

Does differ from patient to patient as it depends weight so don't worry .
Give him the medicine as advised by the doctor.
Hope a speedy recovery.
