Does Intapro Tablets Cause Loose Motions?

My wife is 62,has hiatus hernia,fatty liver.She is 88KGs at 5ft 2in height.Treating surgeon has advised Rabeprazole 1OD and Cintapro 1 TDS and has been taking it for about 2 years.

She is currently having occasional loose motions and some burning sensation in abdomen above naval area.She wants to know if cintapro tablets could be cause of the loose motions.Her stools test is clear from bacteria and virus.What are the side effects of cintapro tabs.

First of all, let me make clear that Loose stools are not caused by Cintapro. Since her stools tests are clear( as per your details), it's time to look into other reasons which could cause her Loose stools by evaluating her with examination & investigation.

Since she is having occasional loose stools along with burning sensation above navel area(as per your details), my opinion is that she might be having problem such as acid reflux( a very common symptom of burning pain felt internally around the lower chest area, caused by stomach acid flowing back up into the food pipe) or any other associated condition/ systemic problem etc., can be the reason behind that discomfort.

So i advise you to follow up again back to the same Doctor to whom you are getting treated. Explain your discomfort. He'll clarify your doubt after examination & necessary investigation what is exactly the reason behind.
