Imodium A D , contains "LOPERAMIDE and is an anti diarrheal drug .
You were addicted to oxycodone and vicodine and after the use of immodium your withdrawal goes away.
Now, note down this thing and you will get the reply your answer.
Mechanism of action of imodium :IT HAS OPIATE LIKE ACTIVITY ON SMALL INTESTINES & COLON WITH MILD ANTI SECRETORY ACTIVITY.
Here I mention its activity is opiate like but it DON'T contains any opium ingredient .
Since this act on small intestines and colon , so it causes contraction of intestine and also as an anti secretory activities , so help in diarrhea . But in your case as there were withdrawal syndrome so diarrhea stopped due to its action and also intestine soothes so it acts like opiates .
