Does IBS Cause Nausea ,abdominal Cramping And Vomiting?

Hi, I've been nauseas for about 7 hours now. Mostly I have just been dry heaving and spitting out mucus but the last time, I vomited dark green colored bile. I am a female in my early 20s and I have a history of IBS. Is this possibly due to the IBS and how can I make the nausea and lower abdominal cramping go away?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Your symptoms are rather not a part of IBS. Most likely you have some gastrointestinal infection caused by bacteria or viruses. If you suffer from frequent urinating, burning while urinating, urinary tract infection can be also the reason.
Most of gastrointestinal infections do not need medical attention and go away by its own. So you may wait a day and see if you are getting better or not. You should avoid solid foods and stay well hydrated. Warm bath or painkillers like Metamizole, Buscolisine should help with the pain.
If the symptoms wont go away withing 24 hours, you should visit a doctor.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
