Does Gabapentin Cause Hallucinations?

I have what my doctor thinks is Post Herpetic pain. It is in the left trigeminal region. Two doctors have ordered Gabpentin for this episode. My problem is my daughter thinks I halucinate when I am taking that med. The letters after my name are RN, MHA. I am 71. Please tell me that that is not a side effect. I have wondered around the house when I take Ambien so I never ever take that
