Does Fluconazole Has Any Side Effects During Pregnancy?

hi....i am 33 weeks pregnant and was prescribed fluconzale for a yeast infection....the prescription is 150 mg for 2 days....i took one this morning now i am scared suppose something happens to my baby???can you tell me if i am just worrying about nothing?

Hello, and I hope I can help you today.

You do not need to be afraid to take the fluconazole. It is safe in late pregnancy and the two tablets you were given are at the recommended dose to treat a yeast infection.

Vaginal suppositories and creams are not recommended in late pregnancy, which is probably why you were prescribed the pills.
