Does Duphaston Help In Conceiving?

Hi!! I want to conceive doctor prescribed me Duphaston but I have regular period cycle and hypothyroid. I want to know whether Duphaston will help in pregnancy should i continue even if having regular period cycle, will it not interrupt regular period cycle.
