Could long term use of Ditropan cause a feeling of fullness in my ears, as though my Eustachian tubes were closed? It s relieved by holding my nose closed while blowing, but it happens multiple times an hour. The doctors have tried a course of antibiotics, Flonase and Prednisone for 5 days. RS

Does Ditropan Cause Pressure In The Ears?
Hi, Ditropan may not cause the problem. It may be due to dryness of mouth, which leads to the induction of infection and Eustachian tube block. Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Possible with allergy or infection or tonsillitis. Avoid drinking a cool drink and cold water and smoking. Use tablet Montelukast and Levocetirizine. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
