Does Ditropan Cause Pressure In The Ears?

Could long term use of Ditropan cause a feeling of fullness in my ears, as though my Eustachian tubes were closed? It s relieved by holding my nose closed while blowing, but it happens multiple times an hour. The doctors have tried a course of antibiotics, Flonase and Prednisone for 5 days. RS

Hi,

Ditropan may not cause the problem. It may be due to dryness of mouth, which leads to the induction of infection and Eustachian tube block.

Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

Possible with allergy or infection or tonsillitis. Avoid drinking a cool drink and cold water and smoking.

Use tablet Montelukast and Levocetirizine.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
