Does Clonazepam Interact With Diphenhydramine?

I have an allergic reaction to mosquito and insect bites; went to the ER bc I couldn t take the pain or the itching. They gave me steroids also diphenhydramine; but on an everyday basis I take Paxil and at night I take clonazepam, My question is can I take diphenhydramine and clonazepam together?

I can understand your concern regarding the possible drug to drug interactions.

If taken along with Clonazepam, Diphenhydramine may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, difficulty concentrating, and motor in coordination (imbalance) which may result in falls and the related injuries.

You should avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving, swimming or operating hazardous machinery while being treated with these medications.

In view of the above it is not safe to take Diphenydramine and Clonazepam together.
