Does Botox Injection Cause Headache And Lower Back Pain?

Two days ago I had Botox injections in my forehead. Yesterday I developed a headache, lower back pain and a burning stomach or indigestion. The headache and lower back pain continue today. Could this be caused by the Botox or most likely a virus? No fever or other body aches.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to side effects of the botox injection. Side effects of Botox injections can include pain at the injection site, flu-like symptoms, headache and upset stomach.

I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
