Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Moderately severe to severe acne is frequently complicated by acne scars and post acne hyperpigmentation. It is important to treat acne adequately with topical as well as oral antiacne preparation to prevent more of these complications.

The creams that you intend to use on acne scars are not beneficial for neither acne nor acne scars.

Moreover, the first one that you mention contains a potent topical steroid and regular use of it may rather cause more acne.

If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to use topical antibacterial gel like clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide for application on active acne, during day time.

Tea tree oil is good for inflammatory acne; is antibacterial and quite similar in action to benzoyl peroxide. You may continue it for active acne.

At night you may use a topical retinoid, e.g., adapalene gel, to the whole affected area. Topical retinoids are anti-inflammatory as well as comedolytic in action and therefore prevent new acne besides treating existing ones. Retinoids also help lighten the spots resulting from acne. Specifically, for post acne hyperpigmentation, you may also take a few sessions of chemical peeling from a dermatologist near you.

Glycolic acid, azaleic acid, and kojic acid are pigment lightening ingredients that help lighten the spots resulting from acne. These agents are formulated in various creams that are available on prescription of a dermatologist.

For acne scars certain procedure like dermabrasion, chemical peeling, fractional CO2 Laser, etc., may be an option for you depending on the severity of acne scars.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
